Tourism leaders of Vietnam and China signed an agreement in Hanoi on August 9 to tighten cooperation in a large swath of areas from training and joint marketing to development of new tourism products, an official said.
The grand ceremony of the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi will take place in the next more than 50 days. Hanoi’s preparations for the event were discussed at a meeting on August 10, presided over by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung, head of the National Steering Committee for the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
An exhibition depicting the close link between the ancient capital of Thang Long and Ha Long Bay over the past 1,000 years of history opened on August 12 in Tuan Chau international resort in the coastal city of Ha Long , Quang Ninh province.
